“ Simply the best in PV. Fresh made to order; the salsas are very authentic and good. The ladies at the place are fun and very nice; my whole family enjoyed the experience. ”
“ Cool little food stand tucked away in the Zona Romántica. Unless you go looking for it you will not come across it as it's away from the busy streets. Appreciated that they have a seating area to eat where they bring you salsas and cebollas. The fish tacos were delicious and very filling! Definitely recommend giving the place a try! ”
“ They say they have the best fish tacos in PV and you know what, they're right. Worth getting over here for. Freshest fish possible. I guess they get fresh catches from the market every day. Very friendly. ”
“ Catching up on reviews of places I tried while on a cruise about a month ago - I had great Mexican seafood in Cabo a couple days earlier, but it only had a couple days of being the best Mexican seafood I'd had, cause a couple days later, we were in PV, and this is definitely the best Mexican seafood I've had. Funny enough, being that we were only in PV for one meal, I found two places I equally wanted to try, this and one other taco street vendor a few blocks away, but we went here first, and the food was so good, and came out so quickly, I changed my mind last minute and just ordered more food here instead. Furthermore, I'd say, if I were back in PV on a cruise in the future, I'd want to try other places I hadn't tried yet, but there's a decent chance I'd just end up here instead, as really good, let alone good *and* fairly inexpensive for how good it is, Mexican seafood is hard to find in California. I would've loved to try everything on the menu, but everything we did try - marlin quesadilla, fried fish taco, squid stew, crab stew, the regular mixed ceviche tostada, all extremely good. Great agua fresca, too. I will also note, I was a little worried when I got there and it looked like they only had a couple seats - they were super busy, but there's more seating than it looks at first, so we didn't have trouble finding a place to sit. It is definitely still cash-only, though - and felt weird paying at the end, though that is apparently standard for street vendors in Mexico, unlike in the US. Anyway - very highly recommended. ”
“ Now with three locations in Puerto Vallarta it is safe to say Marisma Fish Taco has earned its accolades, the small stand in Zona Romantica still consistently turning out a wide range of Seafood on freshly made Tortillas from 10am until 6pm daily. Cash-only from the beginning, a laminated menu introducing guests to Tacos, Tostadas and Quesadillas, one must only take a seat and choose their protein before workers proceed to press Masa and sear it before to service. Offering Salsas, Onions and Sauces on the side, all chopped or made fresh daily, suffice it to say both Marlin and Crab Stews deliver bold balance while Shrimp and Fish smoked or seared taste best with a squeeze of citrus. ”
“ My best friend introduced me to this taco stand. It is just a short walk away from our Airbnb but away from the beach. The Fish Tacos are made to order, crispy and moist, seasoned right. The Camarones Tostada is fresh and delicious. The ladies there are so helpful ”
“ Soo good! Some of the best fish tacos Ive had. They make everything fresh right in front of you. They have some delicious condiments to add to your tacos as well. The staff were really nice and attentive. Its just a small stand in some backstreets of PV but, when you find them you won!! Definitely worth trying! ”
“ Marisma is famous for their crispy battered fish tacos so we had to stop by. We got the battered fish, battered shrimp, crab tomato stew tacos and the ceviche tostada. The battered fish which they make with Mahi Mahi was my favorite and great with the salsas and spicy mayo they have as condiments. The shrimp was good as well but I wish both were seasoned more. The crab stew taco was interesting but I thought it would have been better in stew form rather than a taco. The ceviche tostada was a fish tostada which we didn't expect. The flavor was ok but mostly finely ground fish with a ton of shredded carrots which threw me off The local food tours all stop here so come by on your own for the same experience. ”
“ One of our favorites in PV! Amazing fish tacos! They are huge. I got 2 but could only eat 1.5 of them even though it was delicious! While the batter was good, I would try a la plancha next time too. The agua fresca they had when we went was the best we had in PV, they told us it was pineapple and celery (pina en appio). We even went back just for the agua fresca. Service is great, the women are super nice. They have a little area to sit down too. ”
“ We tried 10 taco restaurants/ taco stands in our trip in PVR but this was actually the only spot that had served fried fish taco out of the 10 that we had tried. The fried fish and fried shrimp were essentially the same. But we prefer the fish because you can't really taste the shrimp under the thick batter. The pickled carrots and cabbage paired well. The ceviche with avocado tostada was good and refreshing. It was worth it. 50 pesos for a huge taco. We would definitely return to Marisma when in PVR. ”
